Portraits to Nowhere

Filed under: Donald Rumsfeld, Pork — The Elitist @ 10:35 am

The Washington Post has done a stunning piece of investigative journalism; one that is sure to bring back memories of Watergate and wiretapping. They have broken the expensive portrait scandal. That’s right, our government is throwing away trillions of dollars painting portraits of themselves. Apparently the average price is about $35,000, but for those who are extreme fuck ups, they go higher. Consider Donald Rumsfeld’s portrait, which will cost $46,790. That’s about $1 for everyone he got killed in Iraq.
